Agua de Jamaica
A tart, ruby-red iced hibiscus drink. Refreshing and naturally caffeine free.

Ingredients
- 2 cups dried hibiscus flowers (flor de jamaica)
- 8 cups water, divided
- 3/4 cup sugar, or to taste
- 1 cinnamon stick, optional
- 2 tablespoons lime juice
- Ice cubes
- Lime slices, to serve
Steps
Step 1. Bring 4 cups of the water to a boil. Add the hibiscus and cinnamon, then turn off the heat. Steep for 15 minutes.
Step 2. Strain into a pitcher, pressing the flowers. Stir in the sugar until dissolved.
Step 3. Add the remaining 4 cups of cold water and the lime juice. Taste and add more sugar if you like.
Step 4. Chill and serve over ice with lime slices.
