Ingredients

  • 12 oz linguine
  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 teaspoon salt, divided
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 tablespoons butter, divided
  • 5 cloves garlic, sliced
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 cup dry white wine
  • 3 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1/4 cup chopped parsley

Steps

  1. Step 1. Boil the linguine in salted water until al dente. Save 1 cup of the water, then drain.

  2. Step 2. Season the shrimp with half the salt. Cook in the oil over medium-high heat for 1 to 2 minutes per side, until pink and opaque. Remove.

  3. Step 3. Add 2 tablespoons of butter, the garlic, and pepper flakes for 1 minute. Add the wine and lemon juice and simmer for 3 minutes.

  4. Step 4. Add the pasta, the remaining butter, zest, and a splash of pasta water and toss until glossy. Return the shrimp, add the parsley, and serve.
