Homemade Teriyaki Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup mirin
  • 1/4 cup sake
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger

Steps

  1. Step 1. Combine everything in a saucepan.

  2. Step 2. Simmer over medium heat for 8 to 10 minutes until it coats the back of a spoon.

  3. Step 3. Cool; it thickens as it cools.

  4. Step 4. Keeps 2 weeks in the fridge.
