Thai Iced Tea

Strong spiced black tea sweetened with condensed milk and poured over ice.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Thai tea mix
  • 4 cups boiling water
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 cup evaporated milk or half-and-half
  • Ice cubes

Steps

  1. Step 1. Steep the tea mix in the boiling water for 5 minutes.

  2. Step 2. Strain through a fine strainer or cloth into a pitcher. Stir in the sugar while warm until dissolved.

  3. Step 3. Stir in the condensed milk and let cool to room temperature, then chill.

  4. Step 4. Fill glasses with ice, pour in the tea, and float a splash of evaporated milk on top.
