Paneer Tikka

Cubes of paneer and vegetables marinated in spiced yogurt and grilled or broiled until charred.

Ingredients

  • 12 oz paneer, cut in 1-inch cubes
  • 1/2 cup thick plain yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 1 bell pepper, cut in chunks
  • 1 red onion, cut in chunks
  • Lemon wedges, to serve

Steps

  1. Step 1. Mix the yogurt, lemon juice, ginger-garlic paste, chili powder, garam masala, turmeric, salt, and oil.

  2. Step 2. Toss in the paneer, pepper, and onion and marinate for 30 minutes.

  3. Step 3. Thread onto skewers. Grill or broil for 10 to 12 minutes, turning, until charred at the edges.

  4. Step 4. Serve hot with lemon wedges and mint chutney.
