Panna Cotta

A silky chilled cream dessert, set with gelatin and served with fruit.

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 teaspoons powdered gelatin
  • 3 tablespoons cold water
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup berries or fruit sauce, to serve

Steps

  1. Step 1. Sprinkle the gelatin over the water and let it soak for 5 minutes.

  2. Step 2. Heat the cream, milk, and sugar until steaming and the sugar dissolves. Do not boil.

  3. Step 3. Take off the heat, stir in the gelatin until fully dissolved, then add the vanilla.

  4. Step 4. Pour into 6 small cups or ramekins. Chill for at least 4 hours until set. Top with fruit.
