Tzatziki

Τζατζίκι

A thick yogurt, cucumber, and garlic dip. Cool, tangy, and perfect with grilled meat.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups thick Greek yogurt
  • 1 cucumber, grated and squeezed dry
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon chopped dill
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Steps

  1. Step 1. Squeeze the cucumber in a towel until very dry.

  2. Step 2. Mix the yogurt, cucumber, garlic, oil, lemon juice, dill, and salt.

  3. Step 3. Chill for at least 1 hour so the flavors blend.

  4. Step 4. Serve with warm pita, vegetables, or grilled meat.
