Brigadeiro

Fudgy chocolate truffles rolled in sprinkles. The party sweet of every Brazilian birthday.

Ingredients

  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tablespoon butter, plus more for greasing hands
  • 1/2 cup chocolate sprinkles

Steps

  1. Step 1. Stir the condensed milk, cocoa, and butter in a nonstick pan over medium-low heat.

  2. Step 2. Cook, stirring constantly, for 10 to 12 minutes, until the mixture is thick and pulls away from the bottom of the pan.

  3. Step 3. Pour onto a buttered plate and cool for 30 minutes.

  4. Step 4. With buttered hands, roll into 20 small balls and coat in the sprinkles.
