Pad Pak Ruam

Mixed vegetables stir-fried over high heat in a garlicky oyster sauce.

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1 carrot, sliced thin
  • 1 cup sliced cabbage
  • 1 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 1 cup baby corn, halved
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1/4 teaspoon white pepper

Steps

  1. Step 1. Heat the oil in a wok over high heat. Cook the garlic for 10 seconds.

  2. Step 2. Add the carrot and broccoli with the water and stir-fry for 2 minutes.

  3. Step 3. Add the cabbage, mushrooms, and baby corn and stir-fry for 2 minutes.

  4. Step 4. Add the oyster sauce, soy sauce, sugar, and pepper. Toss for 30 seconds and serve while crisp.
